I'm totally down with witches and think they're cool! I have a lot of respect for them because of their respect and understanding of nature. I've always said that had the Europeans adopted Native American beliefs when they came to America instead of forcing "religion" on the Natives, we'd be in a lot better place now. Not saying that Native Americans are witches, but a lot of the beliefs are the same. A true witch is going to be a good witch because of the karma thing.

I agree julie,they totally respected nature,hey julie you know about sage burning and stuff I was wondering have you ever heard that you needed to be of indian decent to burn sage or you could make the spirits very angry???instead i was told to use sea salt because its naturally blessed by god!have you heard this before?

Yep, I've heard of sage burning. In fact, my good friend Merlyn from Magical Meanderings sent me some white sage, but unfortunately it's in storage right now. I plan on cleansing the house before we move. I think any attempt to clear a spirit or spirits is going to tick them off because they've apparently attached themselves to the area and don't want to leave. Often they're afraid of being judged if they move on and being forced to move on gets them upset. If we understand this anger as fear on their part and have empathy for them, we can better help them move along. However, some spirits are addicted to the control they have over the other entities they trap with them and don't want to be stripped of this power. Just think of it as dealing with a bully. After all, isn't that what bullies like? Control? These entities get off on the fear they instill in people. That's why we can't fear ghosts - it gives them power over us. Just remember - ghosts were people, too! Very Happy
