Hey everyone,Randy our newest member has submitted me a picture that he had captured from a grave site, heres his story........
This is the photo I was talking about. I document Confederate Graves for my website, Texans in the Civil War .
I took this photo at the Confederate Cemetery in Dallas, TX. I didn't notice the face on the gravestone when I took the photo but noticed it looking over the prints. I couldn't believe what I was seeing so I returned to the cemetery to investigate. I examined the grave marker very carefully and it appears to be moss and discoloration that formed naturally. The "J" in his name makes up the chin and nose. I don't think anyone could have put that one the marker. There is a cartoonish looking character on the top right, but it appears to be moss also.
I took several more photos and then cleaned the marker to see if it would appear again. I haven't gone back there yet but I plan to go back and see what happened.
The grave belongs to Jerry W. Lee
Very Interesting Randy I saw the face right away!wow that is pretty impressive,so is Jerry W Lee related to Robert E Lee? Thanks so much for sharing that with us randy!I look forward to any of your thoughts and stories for the site! _________________
